TIPS
ON SELLING YOUR GOLD
| 1. |
Sell
only those items that have no sentimental attachment for you;
once sold they cannot be retrieved. |
| |
|
| 2. |
Make your own reference list of the items
you are selling before you submit the gold to the buyer for
testing. Include a weight and karat value for each, if
possible.
|
| |
|
| 3. |
Be aware that some items that YOU believe
to be gold, may in fact be plated or filled, and of no resale
value. Should this be the case, you have the right to
have these items returned to you. Ask the buyer for this
courtesy.
|
| |
|
| 4. |
After your gold has been tested, the
buyer should give you a firm price for your items before your
final agreement to sell.
|
| |
|
| 5. |
Shop
around to be sure you are receiving the best value; gold
prices DO fluctuate from day to day, so take this into account
when determining your best price. |
